Media Library

Trying to develop applications that I want to use at some point in the future. First is a db to keep track of my media collection (purchased and pirated). The library itself is nothing special, simply create a db, store your media preferences in it, etc. The idea is to create an application that gets the job done while providing a creative interface, like old 90's PC games/ applications. Nothing like a word processor with a shit ton of bells and whistles to make the actual task interesting. Or typing programs that teach you how to type efficiently while being a lot of fun at the same time (Mario Typing and The Amazing Writing Machine, good times...).

A creative interface is always nice, but I'm thinking something that's just interesting without being a shit ton of stuff that pushes software usage towards inefficient. Maybe get it to a point where you can "play" something like "King's Quest" on company time while still getting your report finished by the end of the day. We'll see, though.

Hello World

Blog is up; most likely will be closer to a journal than an actual blog. Plan on using this to post info on any software dev. projects I decide to work on. New project in the works at the moment; planning phase is underway. Will post the general description sometime this week.
